People in the middle ages believed the
weather was influenced by the
heavenly bodies. This work is based on
a medieval manuscript that explains
how to predict the weather with the
phases of the moon. Inspired by the
aesthetics of medieval astronomical
clocks, this work taps into people’s
fascination with the skies.
When the prime falls on a sunday,
ye shall have drought.
When the prime falls on a monday,
ye shall have wetness.
When the prime falls on a tuesday,
it means wind and coldness.
When the prime falls on a wednesday,
ye shall hear marvelously in that moon.
When the prime falls on a thursday,
it means a bright moon.
When the prime falls on a friday,
ye will have a moderate moon.
When the prime falls on a sunday,
ye will have plenty of rain.
